Press Release (26th Nov 2023)

n recent days, Lingayat religious leaders in Bangalore held a meeting and shared some important thoughts. They invited the Lingayat community to refrain from getting colored in radical and political shades of Hindutva and highlighted its associated risks. Several new and aggressive traditions have emerged among the Lingayats that bear no resemblance to the teachings of the revered saint, Basavanna.

It is known that among the eminent personalities who advocated for the principles of Satya Dharma Samvaad, there are founders within the Lingayat community. The egalitarian thoughts they imparted remain relevant today for global peace and human welfare. Swami Raghavendra, the coordinator of the Satya Dharma Samvaad, supports the statements of Shri Shivacharya Swami, emphasizing that Indian tradition has embraced diversity, and therein lies its beauty

Hence, there should be respect for everyone's beliefs and traditions, and imposing anything on someone goes against the essence of Indianness.
