STATEMENT: Hindu Leaders From Around the World Denounce Hate
As guardians of Hinduism’s profound and inclusive legacy, we, the undersigned Hindu spiritual leaders and organizations, are deeply troubled by the growing misuse of religion to foster hatred, division, and violence within our society.
Hinduism, with its timeless ideals of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and Sarva Dharma Sambhava (respect for all religions), has always stood as a beacon of peace, acceptance, and unity. It pains us to see that, in the name of religion, certain actions and statements are eroding these cherished values, sowing discord among communities.
The upcoming “World Religion Convention,” set to be held on December 17-21, 2024, and provocative rhetoric targeting specific faiths, are clear departures from the true spirit of Sanatan Dharma. Such acts not only undermine the spiritual sanctity of Hinduism but also jeopardize the delicate harmony and unity of our nation, which thrives on its diversity and interfaith coexistence.
As devoted representatives of Hindu spirituality and tradition, we firmly state the following:
- Rejecting Hate Speech and Divisive Acts:
We unequivocally condemn any words, actions, or gatherings that promote hatred, disrespect other faiths, or incite violence. These are antithetical to Hindu values and teachings. - Fostering Interfaith Understanding:
We believe in building bridges through dialogue and nurturing mutual respect among all religions. A peaceful and harmonious coexistence is key to collective growth and spiritual well-being. - Standing Against Extremism:
We strongly oppose the exploitation of religion for political agendas or divisive motives. Hinduism does not need to diminish other faiths to affirm its identity or strength. True spiritual growth comes from introspection, compassion, and shared humanity. - Demanding Accountability:
We urge responsible authorities to take decisive action against those who manipulate religion for selfish or political gain, ensuring fairness and justice prevail. - Appealing for Unity:
We call on all Hindus and people of other faiths to come together in the spirit of kindness, understanding, and mutual respect. Our nation’s greatest strength lies in its unity amidst diversity.

हाल ही में आयोजित होने वाली सभा, जैसे कि तथाकथित “वर्ल्ड रिलीजन कन्वेंशन,” जो 17-21 दिसंबर 2024 को आयोजित होने वाली है, और विशिष्ट धर्मों को लक्षित कर उकसाने वाले बयान, सनातन धर्म के सिद्धांतों से मेल नहीं खाते। ये कृत्य न केवल हिंदू धर्म की आध्यात्मिक अखंडता को नुकसान पहुँचाते हैं, बल्कि हमारे देश की शांति, सद्भाव और एकता को भी खतरे में डालते हैं, जो विविध संस्कृतियों और धर्मों के सहअस्तित्व पर आधारित है।
हिंदू आध्यात्मिकता और परंपरा के प्रतिनिधियों के रूप में, हम निम्नलिखित की पुष्टि करते हैं:
1. घृणा भाषण और क्रियाओं की निंदा:
हम किसी भी बयान, घटना या क्रिया की कठोर निंदा करते हैं, जो घृणा फैलाती है, अन्य धर्मों का अपमान करती है या हिंसा को भड़काती है। ऐसा व्यवहार हिंदू उपदेशों और मूल्यों के खिलाफ है।
2. धार्मिक सद्भावना का प्रचार:
हम सभी धार्मिक समुदायों के बीच संवाद और समझ का समर्थन करते हैं। आपसी सम्मान और शांति से सहअस्तित्व समाजिक प्रगति और आध्यात्मिक संतुष्टि के लिए आवश्यक हैं।

हम राजनीति या विभाजनकारी एजेंडा के लिए धर्म के उपयोग का विरोध करते हैं। हिंदू धर्म को अपनी पहचान या विकास के लिए अन्य धर्मों का अपमान करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। वास्तविक आध्यात्मिक वृद्धि आत्म-सुधार और करुणा के माध्यम से होती है।
4. जवाबदेही की अपील:
हम अधिकारियों से आग्रह करते हैं कि वे उन लोगों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करें जो व्यक्तिगत या राजनीतिक लाभ के लिए धर्म का दुरुपयोग करते हैं, यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि न्याय कायम हो।
5. एकता की अपील:
हम सभी हिंदुओं और अन्य धर्मों के अनुयायियों से हाथ मिलाकर एकता, दया और आपसी सम्मान की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने की अपील करते हैं। हमारे देश की शक्ति उसकी विविधता और सामूहिक सद्भाव में है।
